Happy 4th of July to all our past, present, and future guests!  This holiday we were extra fortunate to host Marine Caden, visiting with his beautiful mom (from Ohio!), Jolee.  Caden is about to deport for a year’s assignment in Cuba, and his mom just wanted some special time with him before his adventure.  We were so grateful she found us!  They were here for four nights, and enjoyed everything from touring Walton’s Mountain Museum to last night’s fireworks at the nearby Nelson County High School.  They both loved our breakfasts, our property, the Farmhouse, and the Nellysford Farmer’s Market.  They enjoyed cooking in our bright and cheerful Farmhouse kitchen, playing games and reading books during the early evening rainstorms, sitting at our gas firepit, and relaxing with an episode or two of the Walton’s tv show.  Caden and Jolee were an absolute delight to host, and we are so happy they could make memories and have this time together.

Best of luck to Caden as he heads off to Cuba, and we all thank you for your service and love of our country.  Happy 4th of July, and God Bless America!
