One of our repeat guests approached me after breakfast today with her amazing marketing idea:  “you should market your place with a “no-brainer Mom Getaway Package”.  We all know how that feels:  we’re neck deep in “activities”, whether our kids are 2 and 4, or 25 and 27.  There is so much pressure on Moms to be the planners, the ones that make the magic happen, and there is no chance to celebrate just being one of the leaders of the family.

Her point was well considered.  Their group of four arrived on Friday.  They have been lifetime friends since the age of 15; they are now in their mid-fourties.  Those kind of friendships are invalueable.  The foursome checked in at 3pm on Friday, set up their coolers poolside, and then took off for a local restaurant Friday evening.  Saturday, they all signed up for our chauffeured wine tour, and raved about it all weekend long!!  Post wine-tour, they were poolside again, laughing and enjoying the time together in the plethora of our @gofloats pool floats.  The gas fire pit entertained them on Saturday night; the stars here are unparalleled and there is no competing light.

Sunday morning there was coffee enjoyed on the expansive front porch, talks about family and the next time they would be together, and eager anticipation of antiguing in our area.  Everyone loved the traditional serving of Eggs Benedict, and just being together.

So, back to the original observation:  “You should market yourselves as a Mom’s No-Brainer Getaway”.  We’ve had so many wonderful guests here:  all are happy to soak up our 14 acres, mountain views, fire pit, saltwater pool, homemade breakfasts, homemade treats, and Nelson County VIP Card.”    Please come join the fun; you will love it here!!
