For some lucky couples, Santa will be delivering an engagement ring this Christmas!  The season between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day is historically the busiest time for engagements.  This sets the wedding planning into motion and the frenzy of decisions begins!

Finding the perfect venue is one of the most important decisions.  Every couple wants to find something fabulous, memorable, and with the ability to make the site their own.  Here at the Orchard House, we love working with couples to help create a perfectly unique wedding experience.

We have enjoyed hosting several weddings here over the last year and a half.  Each wedding experience has been so different, and yet so spectacular in its own way!  We’ve hosted everything from just one couple and the officiant in our new gazebo, with an intimate reception in our 1874 living room after…to an almost 100 person wedding ceremony pond side followed by a beautiful reception in our new barn that went well into the night.

One of the best parts of the Orchard House property is that its a blank canvas.  We have all the “bones” established here, it allows each couple to customize the wedding based on their own vision.  For example, the ceremony itself could be held in our vineyard, next to the pond, inside the gazebo, on the sprawling front porch, or under any one of our gorgeous 150+ year old trees.  The reception could be orchestrated in the new temperature-controlled barn, next to the new salt water pool, in the vineyard, or with a tent rental next to the pond.  The possibilities are limitless!

Another unique offering of the Orchard House property is the ability to host 18 of your wedding guests right here together.  Our previous guests have commented on how special and unique that made the wedding event compared to everyone staying randomly in a hotel.  The Orchard House guests can relax right here on the property as the wedding preparations are made, or they can venture out to the plethora of activities offered here in Nelson County.

No matter which type of wedding ceremony or reception option our bridal couples choose, they are guaranteed a unique and special experience.  Precious memories are made here every day at the Orchard House, and our wedding memories are amongst our favorites!
