Orchard House History
The Orchard House Bed and Breakfast beautifully showcases the vibrant history of Virginia’s Nelson County. Nestled on 14 acres of peaceful countryside, this charming property boasts two historic homes—the elegant white Manor House and the inviting yellow Farmhouse—each embracing decades of transformation and community stories.
19th Century: A Farmstead Takes Root
The property, cherished since the 19th century, began its journey as a vibrant working farm. It was a key contributor to the local agricultural economy, lovingly cultivating delicious orchard crops typical of the region, like juicy apples and sweet peaches.
